SLICE OF LIFE AT MY LOCAL BIRD RESPECT TRIBE CHICKEN RESTAURANT:
Overheard the construction worker talking to the tofu maker, who gets up everyday at 4 am, and tends to his soya beans that have been soaking over night. He boils and mashes them into soya milk, okara and swobbly – oh so smooth – tofu.
"Politicians here are so removed from what's goin on...disconnected from the everyday reality of what we live...they can't feel what the commoner really thinks. These days there is a big disparity between effort and earnings...its unfair. These politicians (referring to the complacent archaic ruling LDP party, who have been in power since WW2) are rigid and self serving in collusion with big business. Right now politics & economics in Japan is not fare...the effort you put into your job...the return you get...people in power are out of touch...."
